Work Patterns Coach: Understand How You Like to Work

A private, careful look at how you like to work. For reflection, not a verdict.

The Work Patterns Coach is the AI work style assessment coach in the Ai1 platform by MyZone AI: you choose one of three original self-reflection assessments, answer in your private web chat and talk the result through in plain, tentative language, with your own view recorded alongside it.

We'll show you the Work Patterns Coach on your own work style.

  • Contribution Palette

Paired choices across contribution themes, showing where you lean most and least. No numbered rankings.

  • A careful debrief

Talks the result through in tentative language and invites your own view. Your corrections are recorded next to the result.

  • A summary card

A card of your result, shown in your private session.

Pause and resume at any time, and export or delete everything it holds about you.

How the Work Patterns Coach differs from a personality test

A personality test hands you a type and often ends up shaping how others see you. The Work Patterns Coach is a self-reflection tool, run only in your private web chat. It talks your result through in tentative language, records your own view next to it, and is never used to assess anyone else or for hiring, promotion or performance decisions. You can delete everything any time.

From your request to a finished result

It runs inside your Ai1 system and works in the tools you already use. You ask, it works, it reports, and it stops for your OK where it matters.

How the Work Patterns Coach works: you ask through the Comms Hub and Ai1 runs the steps: choose and consent, answer, score, debrief and card. You approve at: choose and consent. It returns a summary card.

Example: Work Patterns Map debrief

Example with a fictional company. Names, people and figures are invented to show the agent's output. Any resemblance to a real company or person is unintended.

What it was asked: I'd like to understand my work style before our volunteer team session, and see how a mixed team might work together.

Example report
A private chat where a volunteer coordinator asks to take a work style assessment, reads a plain-language consent note, says yes and sees page 1 of 7 with a 1 to 5 scale, beside the five steps of a session.
Consent first, then page by page
A chat debrief in tentative language covering where a work style tends to help, what it can cost, working with you and one experiment, followed by the person's own correction being recorded.
The debrief, with her own view
A summary card showing a circle of eight work habits with a dot in the patient, cooperative region, eight facet bars with three marked as work focuses, and short notes on strengths, costs and something to try.
Her private summary card
The coach declines to assess a colleague and instead shows a team map of four made-up example people with a question and a working agreement for the team, beside a table of what is stored and an export or delete choice.
Team view and data choices

What it found: 3 findings

  • The coordinator's answers lean toward the Ground–Rally part of the circle: patient, cooperative support, with talking work through, care for the group and an even pace as her three work focuses.
  • The debrief noted she may say yes to keep the peace; she agreed, corrected one point about raising concerns, and her own view was recorded beside the unchanged result.
  • For her team session the coach declined to assess the director and instead built a map of four made-up example people, suggesting the team agree how decisions get made and concerns raised.

The coordinator and the four team members are invented; their answers came from the coach's own example-person generator and were scored by the same fixed scripts a real session uses, so every result sentence is the scripts' own wording. A real session runs only in the person's private web chat; the statement wording is left out of this public sample, and nothing was deleted (only the delete preview is shown). Run date: .

Frequently asked questions about the Work Patterns Coach

What is the point of a work style reflection?

It gives you a structured way to think about how you like to work and where you add the most. With the Work Patterns Coach, the debrief uses tentative language and invites your own view, so the result is a starting point for reflection, not a verdict.

Work Patterns Map is MyZone AI's own self-reflection tool, with its own questions, names and scoring. It is not psychometrically validated.

How can you explore your work preferences without being put in a box?

Look for results shown in words rather than codes or rankings. The Work Patterns Coach's Preference Atlas describes each scale in words with how clear the leaning is, with no letter codes, and its Contribution Palette shows where you lean most and least, with no numbered rankings.

Is it fair to use work style results about your team?

Not for decisions about people. The Work Patterns Coach is for your own reflection only: it refuses to assess another real person and is never used for hiring, promotion or performance decisions.

To prepare a team session, it shows how styles can combine using made-up example people only.

Who can see my Work Patterns Coach results, and is it available?

Assessments and results are only run and shown in your private web chat, not in shared channels. They are kept in a private store, not shared with other people or agents, and you can export or delete them at any time. Deleting clears the store, not your chat history.

It is ready to use in Ai1 by MyZone AI.
